BCCI announced the India-A squad for the England tour on 16 May . Now information related to the coaching staff of this team is coming out. Usually, NCA chief VVS Laxman used to go as the coach of the junior team or on the tour where there is no head coach of Team India, but this time it is not so. According to the report of Cricbuzz, Rishikesh Kanitkar has been appointed as the head coach of the Indian A team.

Apart from Kanitkar, Assam’s Subhodeep Ghosh (fielding coach) and Troy Cooley (bowling coach) will be part of the coaching staff. Rishikesh Hemant Kanitkar is a former Indian cricketer who briefly played Tests and ODIs. He is a left-handed batsman and a right-arm offbreak bowler. When he retired in 2015, he was one of only three batsmen to score over 8000 runs in the Ranji Trophy.
India A team may leave for England on 25 May
Let us tell you, the 18-member India-A team is expected to leave for England in two batches on May 25 and 26. The first four-day match against England Lions, which has been designated as a first-class match, will begin on May 30 in Canterbury.
After the second four-day match in Northampton from June 6, the India A team will play a practice match against the senior team in Beckenham from June 13 to 16, this match will be played behind closed doors. Which can also be called an intra-squad match. The BCCI has said that Shubman Gill and Sai Sudarshan will join the A team before the second match against England Lions.
