Hull Two Shots Behind at Ford Championship in Arizona
Charley Hull is two shots behind the leader at the Ford Championship after scoring a three-under-par 69 in the second round.
Lilia Vu from the U.S. moved into the lead with a fantastic round of 64, bringing her total to 14 under. She made eight birdies to pull ahead of the field.
Hull, along with Nelly Korda, Nanna Koerstz Madsen, and Atthaya Thitikul, sits at 12 under. Hull followed up her opening round of 63 with four birdies and one bogey but found it tough to keep up with Vu in windy conditions.
“I played solid today,” Hull said. “I made some good putts but missed a few I should have holed. The wind made things tricky, but overall, I’m happy and excited for the weekend.”
Defending champion and world number one Nelly Korda, returning from a six-week break, shot 65 to stay in the race, while Thitikul matched Vu’s impressive 64 to stay among the leaders.
