Harry Kane has made it clear that no other European club could lure him away from Bayern Munich, insisting he is fully committed to the German giants.

The England captain is back in familiar surroundings this week as Kane and Bayern face Arsenal in a Champions League blockbuster in north London. Despite returning to England,he is not looking for a Premier League comeback, even taking a subtle jab at Arsenal by calling the league “less enjoyable” due to the current focus on set-pieces.

Harry Kane on His Bayern Move

“The move has been one of the best decisions of my life,” Harry Kane said about his 2023 transfer from Tottenham.“To experience a new league, play for a team like Bayern Munich, enjoy these European nights, and feel the atmosphere in the Bundesliga has been a fantastic step in my career. It’s helped me improve as a player.

“I’m open to staying longer. The way we are playing right now, I feel we are one of the best teams in Europe. I don’t look at any other team thinking, ‘I want to go there.’ I’m really happy here. I’ve got 18 months on my contract, and I’m sure there will be discussions in the future,” Harry Kane added.

Harry Kane on the Premier League and Arsenal

Harry Kane has been critical of the Premier League’s shift toward set-piece goals, praising Arsenal for their effectiveness while emphasizing the need to adapt defensively.

“Watching the Premier League is probably a little less enjoyable than it has been in recent years,” Harry Kane said. “But that’s the evolution of football. Sometimes it comes in like this, and Arsenal have capitalized—they’re a really strong set-play team.

Obviously, we looked at their strengths, threats, and how we can try to stop them. The best way to defend against set-plays is simply not to give them away,” Harry Kane explained.

Kane’s Special Record Against Arsenal

Scoring against Arsenal also brings extra satisfaction for Harry Kane, who has netted 15 goals in 21 appearances against the Gunners, including one for Bayern at the Emirates in the first leg of their 2024 quarter-final.

Maybe subconsciously that’s the case. With Tottenham, it was always a big game. I have friends who are Arsenal fans, and friends who are Spurs fans. There’s a special feeling around it.

“With Bayern, it’s a little different because we don’t play against them often. But when we do, it gives me a little more joy—though ultimately, it’s about winning the game,” Kane said.
