Leicester City, relegated from the English Premier League, continues to struggle for consistency in the EFL Championship. Despite high expectations, the Foxes remain outside the top ten after 24 matches this season.

Following back-to-back defeats, Leicester returned to action on Monday night against Derby County, with Bangladeshi midfielder Hamza Chowdhury included in the starting lineup. The decision paid off as Leicester secured a 2-1 home victory at the King Power Stadium.

Early Goals Seal Crucial Leicester Victory Hamza

Leicester made a fast start, with Bobby De Cordova-Reid opening the scoring in the sixth minute. However, the lead was short-lived as Derby County equalised just three minutes later.

Before halftime, Jordan James restored Leicester’s advantage, scoring what proved to be the decisive goal of the match. Hamza Chowdhury featured for 50 minutes before being replaced by Ricardo Domingos, having played a role during Leicester’s most productive period.
