Bangladesh and Nepal are set to clash once again in a friendly match during the November international window, and this time, the excitement is even higher. The reason β€” Hamza Chowdhury, the English Premier League star who represents Bangladesh, will finally be in action.

Nepalese Fans Eager to See Hamza in Action

When Bangladesh played Nepal in Kathmandu during the September window, local fans were eager to see Hamza up close. Unfortunately, the Leicester City midfielder couldn’t join the squad back then, leaving supporters and players disappointed.

However, this time, things are different. Hamza is already in Dhaka and ready to don the Bangladesh jersey tomorrow (Thursday). Nepal captain Kiran Chemjong expressed his enthusiasm at the pre-match press conference, saying:

Nepal’s Internal Challenges Ahead of the Match

While the excitement is high, Nepal’s football is currently facing turbulence. Their Australian coach, Ross A, who was in charge during the September window, resigned before the Bangladesh tour. Now, homegrown coach Hari Khadka has taken charge of the team.

Despite the instability, Hari showed respect for the hosts, saying:

β€œπ‘©π’‚π’π’ˆπ’π’‚π’…π’†π’”π’‰ π’˜π’Šπ’π’ π’‘π’π’‚π’š π’Šπ’ 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒕 𝒐𝒇 π’•π’‰π’†π’Šπ’“ π’π’˜π’ 𝒇𝒂𝒏𝒔, 𝒔𝒐 π’π’‚π’•π’–π’“π’‚π’π’π’š, π’•π’‰π’†π’š π’˜π’Šπ’π’ 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒆𝒓 𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅.”

Nepal’s next challenge lies beyond this friendly. Like Bangladesh, the team will also play in the Asian Cup qualifiers on November 18. But due to the AFC not recognizing Dashrath Stadium as a home venue, Nepal will have to play their β€œhome” match in Malaysia instead.

After the friendly in Dhaka, Kiran’s team will fly directly to Malaysia for the qualifiers. The Nepalese squad arrived in Dhaka yesterday afternoon and trained under the floodlights at the National Stadium in preparation for Thursday’s clash.
