Punjab Kings i.e. PBKS has announced the replacement of injured Glenn Maxwell. A finger injury forced the Australian all-rounder to miss the 2025 Indian Premier League. Glenn Maxwell has now been replaced by all-rounder Mitchell Owen for the Punjab Kings. For Australia, Mitchell Owen has not yet made his debut. He is an uncapped overseas player. Punjab Kings have announced this replacement before the match against Lucknow Super Giants in Dharamsala. This replacement was revealed by the Punjab Kings prior to their game against the Lucknow Super Giants in Dharamsala.

Owen’s century in the Big Bash League final made the Hobart Hurricanes champions. At a strike rate of 257 runs, he amassed 108 runs in 42 balls. Owen was seen playing as an opener in this league.
