Brahim Diaz stepped up with the hopes of a nation on his shoulders. His delicate Panenka attempt, however, was calmly saved by Senegal goalkeeper Edouard Mendy. The Real Madrid winger took to Instagram the next day, pouring out his emotions in a heartfelt message to Moroccan fans.

Diaz accepted full responsibility for the missed penalty, promising to rise again despite the pain.
