Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF), under the leadership of president Tabith Awal, has intensified its focus on futsal by strengthening the women’s setup ahead of the upcoming SAFF Women’s Futsal Championship in Thailand. After a seven-year absence from international futsal, Bangladesh’s women’s team is preparing for its return, with training already underway.
To reinforce preparations, two Iranian female coaches officially joined the team on Monday, marking a historic moment for women’s futsal in the country. One of the coaches was seen actively taking part in training sessions on the very first day.

BFF Futsal Committee Chairman Imranur Rahman confirmed the appointments, stating that Mitra Chinsari and Mahanaz Ashte will serve as assistant coach and goalkeeper coach, respectively.

This marks the first time foreign female coaches have been appointed in Bangladesh women’s football, a significant step following the revival of futsal activities.
Despite the new additions, Iranian coach Saeed Khodarahmi will continue as head coach for both men’s and women’s teams.

Bangladesh’s men’s futsal team recently qualified for the AFC Futsal Championship for the first time, prompting BFF to renew Khodarahmi’s contract in line with AFC coaching requirements.
With international exposure, renewed leadership, and historic appointments, Bangladesh women’s futsal is set for a promising new chapter ahead of the SAFF tournament.
