Bayern Munich have confirmed they are in discussions with Harry Kane over a possible contract extension, as the German champions look to secure the long-term future of their star striker. The update was shared by sporting director Max Eberl.
The 32-year-old England captain joined Bayern Munich from Tottenham Hotspur in August 2023 on a four-year deal worth an initial €100 million (£86.4m). Since arriving in Germany, Kane has been a key figure in attack and a leader within the squad.
Kane’s Impact in Munich
Kane has scored 119 goals and provided 30 assists in 126 appearances since joining Bayern Munich. His goals were instrumental in the club’s 2024–25 Bundesliga title win, which marked the first major trophy of his career.
Speaking at a Bundesliga event in Frankfurt, Eberl confirmed that talks are ongoing.
“We’re talking to Harry, we’re talking,” he said. “Everyone knows that at some point a decision has to be made.”
Open to Staying at Bayern Munich
In October 2025, Kane stated that he could “definitely” see himself staying at Bayern Munich, noting that his desire to return to the Premier League had “gone down a little bit.”
Under head coach Vincent Kompany, Kane has continued his prolific form this season, scoring 34 goals in 30 matches, including 21 goals in 19 Bundesliga outings. He is also closing in on Robert Lewandowski’s record of 41 goals in a single Bundesliga campaign.
