Australia wrapped up day two of the second Test against West Indies in Grenada with a slender 45-run lead but lost both openers in a tense finish to the day’s play. After dismissing the hosts for 253, Australia stumbled to 12-2 by stumps.
Jayden Seales was the star with the ball late in the day, clean bowling Sam Konstas for a four-ball duck and trapping Usman Khawaja lbw for just two runs.

King’s Resilient Knock Keeps Windies Close
Earlier, Brandon King anchored the West Indies innings with a determined 75, supported by John Campbell’s 40. Their efforts, along with a gritty 51-run stand from tailenders Alzarri and Shamar Joseph, closed the gap to Australia’s first-innings total of 286.
Nathan Lyon led the Australian attack with figures of 3-75, removing King and Alzarri Joseph in a crucial spell. Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins chipped in with two wickets each as the innings moved swiftly.

Batters Continue to Struggle
Teenager Sam Konstas has now failed to reach double figures in three out of four innings this series, while Usman Khawaja’s struggles continued as well.
On the West Indies side, Kraigg Brathwaite’s rough patch persisted—he was caught and bowled by Hazlewood for just four runs early on day two. Despite solid partnerships, a cluster of wickets left West Indies at 174-7 before the Josephs rallied.
Australia, who won the first Test by 159 runs, will look to press their advantage on day three as both teams battle challenging conditions.
