Asia Cup 2025: Match Start Times Shift Due to UAE Heat

Start Times Revised for Majority of Fixtures

The Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) has confirmed that the start times for 18 out of 19 matches in the upcoming Asia Cup 2025 have been pushed back by half an hour owing to the intense heat in the UAE.

As per the new schedule, fixtures will now begin at 6:30 pm local time (8:00 pm IST) instead of the earlier 6:00 pm start.

Tournament Highlights and Key Fixtures

The Asia Cup, which will be played in T20 format this year, runs from September 9 to 28 across Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

One of the most highly anticipated fixtures will be the India vs Pakistan clash on September 14 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Despite political differences preventing bilateral series, the two nations will continue to face off in multi-nation tournaments such as the Asia Cup.

India will kick off their campaign against UAE on September 10 in Dubai, before wrapping up the group stage against Oman on September 19 in Abu Dhabi.
