Both teams have already announced their squads, sparking debates among fans and cricket experts about team combinations and strategies. Notably, a few star players from both sides will be missing this year’s edition, raising further intrigue ahead of the high-voltage encounters.

India vs Pakistan: A Rivalry Without an Asia Cup Final

A unique historical fact adds further spice to this year’s tournament — despite being cricket’s fiercest rivals, India and Pakistan have never met in an Asia Cup final. Over the 41-year history of the competition, which has featured 16 finals since its inception in 1984, the two teams have not crossed paths in the title clash.

India has reached the Asia Cup final a record 11 times, with nine of those against Sri Lanka and two against Bangladesh. On the other hand, Pakistan has qualified for five finals, facing Sri Lanka four times and Bangladesh once.
