The gripping five-match Test series between India and England in 2025 had cricket fans glued to their screens, as the two cricketing giants battled fiercely for the inaugural Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. While the series ended in a 2-2 draw with no outright winner, it was packed with unforgettable moments that captivated the cricketing world.

Veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin recently took to social media to share his three most memorable moments from the series. His list included a tense incident from the fourth Test at Old Trafford, when Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar declined to shake hands with Ben Stokes, as they were eyeing personal milestones despite England’s offer to settle for a draw.

Ashwin also highlighted the emotional gesture from Joe Root and Zak Crawley at Lord’s, where they were seen consoling a heartbroken Mohammed Siraj after his unfortunate dismissal. The third standout moment for Ashwin was Siraj’s animated celebration after dismissing Gus Atkinson during the final day of the fifth Test at The Oval.

Ashwin Bats for Kuldeep Yadav in Upcoming Home Series

Looking ahead, Ashwin also shared his thoughts on team selection for the upcoming home Test series against South Africa and the West Indies. He strongly advocated for Kuldeep Yadav’s inclusion, highlighting the spinner’s ability to trouble visiting teams on Indian soil.

Ashwin noted that the current team management is unlikely to add an extra bowler but might opt to replace a seamer with Kuldeep, particularly in spin-friendly conditions.

“𝑲𝒖𝒍𝒅𝒆𝒆𝒑 𝒀𝒂𝒅𝒂𝒗 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝑻𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝑺𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉 𝑨𝒇𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒂 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑾𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝑰𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝒊𝒕 𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒅𝒊𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒖𝒍𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒑𝒊𝒄𝒌 𝒉𝒊𝒎,” 𝑨𝒔𝒉𝒘𝒊𝒏 𝒔𝒂𝒊𝒅.

He further mentioned that Axar Patel could also return to the mix, given India’s history of fielding multiple spinners at home. However, he admitted it remains unclear who would be left out to accommodate Kuldeep.
