Anshul Kamboj

Haryana’s promising right-arm pacer, Anshul Kamboj, realised a dream on July 22, 2025, when he made his international debut for India in the fourth Test against England at Old Trafford, Manchester. Kamboj was a late addition to the squad, called up following a spate of injuries, but earned his place through consistent performances for India A and in domestic cricket.

Born on December 6, 2000, in Karnal, Haryana, Kamboj’s cricketing journey has already been decorated with notable milestones, including a rare 10-wicket haul in a Ranji Trophy 2024–25 match against Kerala. He had also emerged as one of the top wicket-takers in back-to-back Vijay Hazare Trophy seasons, capturing 17 wickets in both 2023–24 and 2024–25. His efforts were instrumental in helping Haryana win their maiden Vijay Hazare title.

IPL Journey and Earnings So Far

Anshul first entered the IPL limelight in 2023, when Mumbai Indians secured him for ₹20 lakh. Though he played just three matches that season, his potential was evident. In the 2025 IPL auction, Chennai Super Kings saw value in the young seamer and signed him for ₹3.4 crore.

“In two years, I’ve learned what it means to stay patient and focused,” Kamboj said in a recent interview. “Every game is a chance to prove something.”

So far, Kamboj has played 11 IPL matches and picked up 10 wickets. His growing stature in the T20 league is expected to attract more attention in the upcoming seasons.
