Chennai Super Kings‘ head coach Stephen Fleming has backed young fast bowler Anshul Kamboj to be a surprise inclusion in India’s squad for the upcoming Test series against England. Known for his deceptive pace and accuracy, Kamboj has impressed both fans and critics during IPL 2025, sparking serious consideration for a national call-up.
Following CSK’s clash with Rajasthan Royals, Fleming highlighted the youngster’s natural abilities that make him a perfect fit for English conditions.

Kamboj Impresses with IPL Performances, Earns India A Call-Up
Kamboj has already earned a place in the India A squad for their matches against the England Lions and is expected to feature in the intra-squad match alongside senior players. A strong performance could very well pave the way for his inclusion in the full India squad.

Many believe that his impressive showings on flat IPL wickets hint at a smooth transition to England’s seaming tracks. His ability to bowl effectively in both red-ball and white-ball formats adds to his growing reputation as a future leader in India’s pace unit.
