Liverpool is reportedly preparing to recall Konstantinos Tsimikas from his loan at Roma to make room for Andy Robertson to join Tottenham Hotspur, according to talkSPORT.
Tsimikas, who joined Roma on a season-long loan in August, has made 16 appearances across all competitions for the Serie A side. The Greek left-back had previously featured 18 times in the Premier League last season, helping Liverpool secure their 20th league title.
The potential return of Tsimikas would provide cover for Robertsonβs departure, leaving manager Arne Slot with options at left-back as the 31-year-old Scotland captain looks to move on.
Robertsonβs Liverpool Legacy and Spurs Interest
Discussions between Liverpool and Spurs are advancing as Tottenham seek to strengthen following an injury to Ben Davies, who fractured his ankle. Robertson, whose contract expires this summer, has made 13 Premier League appearances this season, including just four starts due to the arrival of Milos Kerkez.
Robertson reflected on his future, saying:

The Scotland international has made 363 appearances for Liverpool since joining from Hull in 2017, winning nine trophies, including two Premier League titles, the Champions League, and the Club World Cup.
A potential transfer could mirror the approach taken by Bournemouthβs Antoine Semenyo, who played a few matches before completing his move to Manchester City. Robertson may feature in one or two remaining games for Liverpool, including a possible Anfield farewell on January 28.
Liverpoolβs recall of Tsimikas ensures Slot has depth at left-back while Robertsonβs long tenure may come to an end, opening a new chapter in the playerβs career at Tottenham.
