Argentina have announced their preliminary squad for their next two World Cup qualifiers, with a 33-man squad featuring a focus on youth. The world champions will play two matches against Brazil and Uruguay this month.

Claudio Echeverri has been called up to the national team for the first time. This young footballer has been in the news recently for his excellent performance in the age group. This footballer, known as the ‘new Messi’, has also proven himself in the recent Under-20 South American Championship.

Apart from Echeverri, there are several other youngsters in the team. Santiago Castro and Benjamin Dominguez, who play for Serie ‘A’ club Bologna, have made it to the starting line-up. In addition, Maximo Perrone, who plays for Italian club Como, is also in the squad.

Marcos Acuña and Guido Rodriguez have been dropped from the team to make room for youngsters. They have lost their places due to lack of form. In addition, Lisandro Martinez and Marcos Senesi are not in the team due to injuries.
