The iconic trophy is currently on display in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on January 14 as part of its global tour.

This will mark the fourth time the original FIFA World Cup trophy visits Bangladesh. Football enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for the rare opportunity to witness the most prestigious prize in world football up close.

Historic Global Tour and Bangladesh’s Special Moment

The Trophy arrived in Riyadh on Saturday, where Saudi officials and footballers posed with the silverware. Saudi Arabia is set to host the 2034 World Cup, making this visit especially symbolic. Before reaching Bangladesh, the trophy will travel through Egypt, Turkey, Australia, and India.

Bangladesh previously welcomed the FIFA Trophy in 2002, 2013, and again before the 2022 Qatar World Cup, each time drawing massive public interest.

The upcoming 2026 World Cup will be the biggest in history, jointly hosted by the USA, Mexico, and Canada, featuring 48 teams and 104 matches. As part of this celebration, the FIFA Trophy Tour will visit 30 countries, covering 75 locations over 150 days worldwide.

Coca-Cola Campaign and Sustainable Initiatives

To mark 20 years of the World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola, the company has launched the ‘Under the Cap’ promotional campaign in Bangladesh. Fans can win exclusive passes to view and photograph the FIFA Trophy by purchasing a 1-liter Coca-Cola promo bottle and scanning the QR code under the cap.

Participants must answer World Cup-related quiz questions on the official Trophy Tour website. The campaign runs from November 15, 2025, to January 8, 2026, offering winners every 90 minutes.

Alongside fan engagement, Coca-Cola is also promoting eco-friendly initiatives, including recycling and sustainable packaging efforts throughout the tour. Coca-Cola has been associated with FIFA since 1976 and has served as an official World Cup sponsor since 1978, making this partnership one of the longest in sports history.
