Arshdeep Singh

India’s T20 specialist Arshdeep Singh has lauded Jasprit Bumrah for shaping his bowling approach, crediting the senior pacer for his consistency and precision. Arshdeep, currently India’s leading wicket-taker in T20Is, has been in sublime form over the past year.

The young left-arm seamer formed a lethal partnership with Bumrah during the T20 World Cup 2024, where both played pivotal roles in India’s title-winning campaign. Their ability to complement each other with contrasting bowling styles proved crucial in several high-pressure matches.

Arshdeep also revealed his admiration for Pakistan legend Wasim Akram, saying he has studied the former left-arm pacer’s techniques through hours of online footage.

Recently, Arshdeep showcased his composure in the Asia Cup 2025 Super Over against Sri Lanka, conceding just two runs and taking two wickets to secure victory for India. His performances continue to reinforce his reputation as a dependable death-over specialist.

With over 100 wickets in T20Is, Arshdeep stands as India’s most successful bowler in the shortest format — a testament to his growth and learning alongside “Jassi bhai.”
