Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has shared how his bond with Virat Kohli has transformed over the years, especially after helping Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) clinch their first-ever IPL title in 2025.

Earlier, their conversations were filled with fun and jokes, but now, as married men, their discussions lean more towards family matters and life beyond cricket.

“𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒅𝒊𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒏𝒐𝒘. 𝑾𝒆 𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒌 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒇𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆 𝒐𝒇𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅. 𝑬𝒂𝒓𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒓, 𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒃𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒅,” 𝑩𝒉𝒖𝒗𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒉𝒘𝒂𝒓 𝒕𝒐𝒍𝒅 𝑻𝒂𝒍𝒌 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒓𝒂.

He also made it clear that their professionalism on the field remains unchanged. “If RCB has picked us, the aim is to perform for the team, regardless of friendship,” he added.

Praises Rajat Patidar’s Composed Leadership

In his first season under Rajat Patidar’s captaincy, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was impressed with the skipper’s calm approach. He said Patidar did not overmanage and made decisions only when necessary.

“He knew exactly when to step in and when to let things be. That balance is a rare quality in a leader,” the pacer remarked.

Team Effort Key to RCB’s Historic Triumph

Looking back at IPL 2025, Bhuvneshwar credited the victory to the contributions of every player in the squad, rather than relying on just a few.

“𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆, 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒑𝒑𝒆𝒅 𝒖𝒑 𝒊𝒏 𝒅𝒊𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒈𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔. 𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒄𝒂𝒏’𝒕 𝒘𝒊𝒏 𝒂 𝒃𝒊𝒈 𝒕𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒅𝒆𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒘𝒐 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒚𝒆𝒓𝒔,” 𝒉𝒆 𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒅.

From match-winning spells to crucial batting performances, the team’s collective effort made the difference, sealing a historic season for RCB.
