Raised to Respect Women, Hurt by Public Judgment

Emphasizing his upbringing, Chahal explained that growing up with two sisters helped him learn the value of respecting women. He stressed that random public speculations based on baseless gossip had deeply hurt him.

“Because I grew up with sisters, I know how to respect women,” he said. β€œIt’s not okay for people to write anything just to get views β€” linking my name with others when they know nothing.”

Chahal and Dhanashree were married in December 2020 and finalized their divorce on March 20, 2025. Since August 2023, Chahal has not featured in the Indian national squad, with rising competition further sidelining him.
