The Texas Super Kings continued their dream start to MLC 2025 by registering a 57-run win over Los Angeles Knight Riders, marking their second victory in as many games. Batting first once again, TSK posted 181 for 4 before bundling out LAKR for just 124.
Texas Super Kings Shine with Balanced Batting and Lethal Bowling
Unlike their opening match where individual brilliance led the charge, this time it was a collective effort from the Texas Super Kingsβ batting unit. Devon Conway (34 off 22) and Saiteja Mukkamalla (31 off 22) gave their side a flying start with a 57-run partnership in just over five overs. Although Faf du Plessis failed to fire once more, the middle order stepped up with handy contributions from Shubham Ranjane (24 off 19), *Daryl Mitchell (36 off 33), and *Donovan Ferreira (32 off 16), lifting TSK to a formidable total.

In response, the Knight Riders struggled to find rhythm throughout their innings. Although Alex Hales (25 off 17) and Unmukt Chand (22 off 23) tried to stabilize the chase, their efforts lacked urgency. Chand added a brief 28-run stand with Matthew Tromp, who showed aggression with a brisk 23 from 12 balls, but the innings never gained momentum.
The star with the ball was Noor Ahmad, whose crafty spin accounted for four wickets, including key players like Andre Russell and Sunil Narine. Adam Milne once again impressed, finishing with exceptional figures of 2 for 8 from 3.1 overs, including the final wicket of Tanveer Sangha.
Despite LAKRβs star-studded lineup, they fell well short of the target, thanks to a disciplined and clinical effort from TSK in all departments. With two back-to-back wins and an in-form bowling attack, Texas Super Kings look like early title contenders in Major League Cricket 2025.
