Many former Indian players have expressed their full support for the country’s armed forces and urged citizens to remain calm and responsible amid rising tensions with Pakistan. Tensions between India and Pakistan have reached a peak after Pakistan carried out drone and missile attacks on Thursday.

In retaliation, India targeted terrorist hideouts under ‘Operation Sindoor’, in which many terrorists were killed. This tension has also affected the sports world. An IPL 2025 match in Dharamsala had to be cancelled midway, and now the BCCI has postponed the league for a week.

Regarding this, former Indian fast bowler Venkatesh Prasad has made fun of Pakistan by tweeting. Not only this, Virender Sehwag has also given his side on this. Virender Sehwag tweeted on his official social media account, ‘Pakistan chose this fight when they had the opportunity to remain silent. They say a lot about terrorism, and our forces have given them a befitting reply. Pakistan will never forget this.’

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma also tweeted:

Rohit Sharma wrote on his X account,

“With every passing moment, with every decision, I feel extremely proud of our Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Indian Navy. Our warriors stand for the pride of our country. Every Indian needs to be responsible and avoid spreading or believing any fake news. Stay safe, everyone. Operation Sindoor, Jai Hind.’

Shikhar Dhawan also praised the Indian armed forces. Dhawan tweeted,

“Respect to our brave hearts for protecting our borders so vigorously and preventing the drone attack on Jammu. India is strong. Jai Hind.”
